Progress Report: Photography is Hard Work at 5844 words

1200 words of progress? Not bad for just getting in an hour today among other projects! Especially considering that this story is really going off the rails compared to the original outline I planned out. I'm now using the outline only for its character cheat-sheet ... For the plot planning, I've devolved into using a very basic outline at the bottom of the actual working copy, which I'm gradually turning green as I work on it ... and the outline that's there now bears very little resemblance to the original plan. (Patreon supporters can read the work-in-progress any time they want!)

Usually that's a good sign, but this time ... I'm not sure. Hopefully you guys will still like it, but if I'm being honest, I feel like this one's coming out a little bit forced and over-the-top, especially when compared to Old Nag. Maybe that's just inevitable after coming down from a story that good... But I'm having to make myself finish this one, even though it's turning out to be much shorter and to-the-point. I fear this one is doomed to mediocrity. Still, hopefully I've become a good enough author that even my mediocrity can give you guys the buzz you're looking for. I guess we'll see! And who knows, maybe this story will turn around and end up being much better than I thought it was. (Or end up enormously popular despite me thinking it's not my best ... that happens pretty often; authors often aren't very good at judging the quality of their own work.)
