Dirty Little Secret

Not a lot today, not even after a long wait. But at least I got something done. (I'm sorry; it's been a bit hectic with school starting back up again and all. More on that tomorrow.) But I'm still going to meet my goals ... and that means the whole story will be written in one day: tomorrow. It's 'The End' or bust! Maximum effort! But I'm getting ahead of myself there. For now, here's a pretty kitty cover image:

Finished up a detailed outline for Secret Size Queen ... and this one's going to be good! Minnie (our kitty) is quite the character, and Bruno (the Clydesdale) is a great counterpart for her. ^.^ Patreon supporters can already read the outline in my In Progress folder!

Since I was already on the subject of cover images, I went ahead and built the cover for Photography is Hard Work . Not my greatest job ever, I think, but I made it work:

That was some really fast response from the people I asked. Weird how sometimes it's so easy and sometimes it's so difficult. But here's our kitty! Time to get writing soon!

Finished it up today! Came out to about 9100 words. ^.^ It still may be a while before a proper Early & Free post comes out for it for my Patreon supporters, though. I still need to work on the cover image and edit/proofread it ... which might all wait until after I finish Secret Size Queen , which was just voted to be the next story. Still, if any Patreon supporters want to be impatient and read it before it's edited or has a good cover image, they can just check my in-progress folder and find it there!

6900 words in, and things are finally starting to flow nicely! ^.^ Writing this no longer feels like a chore. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I like it. I'm even kind of sad to be putting it away to work on the next voted-on story... Maybe I won't. It's so close to being done; I kind of want to finish it before moving onto the next project. Of course, that means I have even less time to get the voted story done!

1200 words of progress? Not bad for just getting in an hour today among other projects! Especially considering that this story is really going off the rails compared to the original outline I planned out. I'm now using the outline only for its character cheat-sheet ... For the plot planning, I've devolved into using a very basic outline at the bottom of the actual working copy, which I'm gradually turning green as I work on it ... and the outline that's there now bears very little resemblance to the original plan. (Patreon supporters can read the work-in-progress any time they want!) Usually that's a good sign, but this time ... I'm not sure. Hopefully you guys will still like it, but if I'm being honest, I feel like this one's coming out a little bit forced and over-the-top, especially when compared to Old Nag . Maybe that's just inevitable after coming down from a story that good... But I'm having to make myself finish this one, even though

Made some serious progress today -- making up for lost time. Photography is Hard Work is over 4600 words now, and it's getting deep into the sexy bits. Not everything is going according to plan ... but that's usually a good thing, actually. It (hopefully) means that the story is turning out better than the outline I originally made for it.

I've been as sick as three dogs over the past few days, and I haven't really been able to get much writing done. But I'm starting to get better now, and I hope to still meet my goals for the week, so you should see a lot getting done over the next three days.
